How to make the most out of your time in Coronavirus Quarantine?

So how do you make the most of your time during isolation and the Coronavirus Quarantine?

It has been a week now since many of us have been spending time isolating at home due to Coronavirus Quarantine; and having been told that we are only allowed to leave for groceries, one form of exercise a day and for work that is only absolutely necessary, it has left much of the country spending most of their days at home.

I am sure if you are reading this, then you are more than fully aware of the World’s current struggles, and so this article is not to discuss the challenges and struggles of COVID-19 as there is plenty of minute by minute updates on this situation. For more information on the virus you can head to BBC or the NHS website.

This article is to show you ways of keeping busy, staying sane, and making the most of the time we are now spending at home in isolation and the Coronavirus Quarantine..

Stuck for ideas on what to do? Fed up of watching Netflix? Or having too many trips to the fridge? Keep reading to find out how you can stay busy, enjoy your time at home during isolation, and make it productive because we don’t have much choice at the moment, so why not make the most out of it!

  1. Self-development-I honestly can’t express the transformations you will make in your life with your health, career, love-life, business, relationships if you use this time to work on yourself. To really learn, grow and do the inner work to bring more happiness, fulfilment, peace and success into your life. Whether you watch videos, listen to podcast, read books or hire a coach during this time, there really never has been a better opportunity to work on yourself. You can literally change your life in a matter of weeks if you are being taught how to, so why not use this time to really invest in you, your life or your business! If you feel like you have a calling to work on creating your best life and best you then please send me an email at info@theworldofwonderful.co.uk and we can schedule a time to talk about what might be the best options for you!

  2. Daily Exercise- Seriously, never has there been a better time to get fit and work on your health. This most certainly is something you can get doing during your time with the Coronavirus Quarantine. You have all the hours of the day to choose when, how and what you want to work out. At present you are allowed to do one form of exercise outdoors and I highly recommend taking advantage of this. Getting outdoors will energise, motivate and inspire you. Exercise should be fun, enjoyable and work for your body so choose something you like to do. You can also choose from a wealth of classes that are now online. Some great places to get online classes are: for pregnant ladies, for Strong & Zumba classes, for booty burning, for bouncing at home, those who need rehab or have a disability, pilates , kids yoga for some latin inspired dance classes here or if you are over in Ireland then here and if you are a huge HIIT then then check out this page..

  3. Get cooking- Yes I know getting to the supermarket at the moment is not the most fun of experiences right now. However, using these next few weeks to get really creative with what you have, try new recipes, eat in a whole new way; get vegetarian, get vegan, get raw, get baking, get whatever you like but do something fresh, creative and new! It is also a lovely time to make the most of eating with your family (not many of us do this anymore, so maybe seeing how this is really something to appreciate is key!) If you are on your own, make a zoom dinner date can be really helpful and fun!.

  4. Connect-This is probably one of my favourite ones! I am probably this biggest advocate of connecting, and is something I always make an effort to do. But, if this is something you have left behind then maybe now is the time to get connecting to current and old friends, family and colleagues. So whether you are spending time with those at home, or doing online video calls, really get into the feelings of appreciation for those you have. Reach out to those you have not spoken to for a while, ask if anyone needs any help or support and organise some really good online catch-up sessions. Now, more than ever I am sure we are all appreciating the importance of being with friends and family, so once this is all over, keep in mind and heart the importance and joy of connecting so keep in frequent contact with others.

  5. Do your taxes- Ok this is probably the most boring one out of all of them. BUT, also one of the most productive! If you have your own business, are self-employed and have to do any of the account preparation , or even file all of your taxes on your own, get started now. Every December I hear the frantic talks of rushing and spending hours sifting through receipts. Now is the perfect time, you could do one month a day and get it all done in less that 2 weeks without it being overwhelming, really boring or a panic induced experience.

  6. Get reading-I love this one! And, the best thing is you don’t even need to buy new books. Re-read the ones you have. If you are already working on becoming the best version of yourself, doing healings, inner work, and working on living your best life, then trust me when I say you are changing every day! You are not the same person! Which means that when you re-read that book you will read it in a whole new way, understand it even more, and learn things you never even knew were in there. At the moment I am re-reading Super Attractor and loving all the new ways I am interpreting the book. So, what could you pick up again this week?

  7. Meditate-For those of you who have worked or know me, you know that I am a huge fan of meditating. If this is a whole new concept to you, use this time to begin learning about how to meditate, the different options and the benefits. I am now offering free weekly meditation sessions which you can join here.

So, now is the time to get planning, deciding on what you could do this week to make the most of this time; you might just find that you end up doing all of them!

Let me know how you are spending this time and if you need any more ideas!

Lots of love,

Your Coach,
